Mole, Susan "Suz!"- glass artist

Recently located to the Pawleys Island area, Susan "Suz!" Mole is a fused glass artist from Park City, Utah.  She creates sculptural and functional art by kiln-firing glass.  She discovered this style of glass art a few years ago, and immediately fell in love.  Now, she's obsessed with combining striking colors to create unique, beautiful, whimsical, and down right fun art that's appreciated by friends and art lovers alike!

In her early career, Suz! has been a linguistic, trainer for a large oil company, and a full-time mom.  She has spent time living abroad in Europe and Japan.  Now, she's a glass-loving artist!  Her other artistic endeavors include co-founding the Glass Art Guild of Utah and has been an active member of the Park City Professional Artists Association.

Suz! began her hand in glass art by making jewelry.  She has expanded to larger, functional pieces like plates.  She stays ever true to her philosophy of color use while trying to bring out the smile in her viewers.  Dichroic glass is her favorite material to work with as it is specially designed to reflect and refract light.
