Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art
A Non-Profit Music & Art Festival

In 1991, local music and art lovers saw the start of what is now known as the Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art.  On that night, music lovers heard a tribute to Mozart on the occasion of his bicentennial.

Evolving over the last many years, the Festival has seen many changes and hosted many wonderful musicians.  Audiences have enjoyed bluegrass, mandolin bands, jazz, a symphony, opera, choral, and more!  African-American heritage music has been a focused component of the Festival through the years.  Musical guests included New York’s Harlem Gospel Ensemble, the South Carolina State University Chorus, and The Men of Zion.

Young audience members have been enjoying a Children’s Theatre performance for the last few years.  Productions have included Cinderella and Peter and the Wolf

The 2009 Season is fast approaching!  Tickets can be purchased online at the Festival’s website, www.PawleysMusic.com, call them at 843.237.4774, or stop by the Cultural Council office in the Litchfield Exchange to pick up some.  As a Non-Profit Partner, we are glad to serve as a ticket venue for this year's Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art!
