| The Cultural Council offers many opportunities for aspiring to advanced artists of all ages to expand their creativity and artistic skills.
We have three experienced instructors who offer Ongoing Studios and Classes throughout the year- Deborah Broad, Danny McLaughlin and Ruth Cox. Students attend weekly sessions with instructors or work independently, and concentrate on their own projects in either oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, or drawing. All of the instructors are practicing artists with decades of professional experience. In the classes, they offer critiques, advice, tips, and demonstrations of each student's work. For busy, working artists, a few sessions are even offered at night. The Ongoing Studios and Classes are a great way to get in the middle of the inspiring art buzz, make artists friends, and find out what's going on in the arts community!
Our Special Workshops offer a variety of specialized subjects such as Beginning Art, Old Masters in the New Age, Plein Air, and Shoot It Like A Pro: Digital Photography. Many are all day sessions convening during the week or weekends, and some are offered more than once during the year. Lots of first-time artists start out in one of our Special Workshops, become avid artists, and make their way over to the Ongoing Courses to become regular students!
