The Cultural Council -- "official arts organization of Georgetown County" --  is an independent 501c3 non-profit organization. 

Mission Statement: Promote the ARTS and enrich the cultural lives of the youth and adults of Georgetown County.

Purpose: Attract youth and adults to the ARTS through inspiring and enriching programs of music, visual art, literature and drama.  Promote and collaborate with various partners to provide cultural events and activities.

Values: All programs are administered with impartiality and are balanced to include all forms of artistic expression.

Programs and events we support and manage include:

  • "Tuesday Treasures" Concert Series
  • "Young Treasures" music & art scholarship program
  • Youth performance opportunities throughout the year
  • Arts in Education through Georgetown County Schools
  • Art classes for youth and adults
  • Web portal for arts events, artists, and arts groups
  • Email newsletter of arts and cultural happenings
