Third Tuesday Treasures
Presents
Well known local soprano Kaye Saunders (formerly Sloan) returns to the area for this special concert that will feature best-loved songs from The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Victor/Victoria and My Fair Lady. Accompanying Ms. Saunders will be Ann Miles, popular area pianist and noted song stylist. Audience members will participate in a Sound of Music sing-a-long as well.
Also featured at the event will be a small exhibition of original artwork by Virginia Lee Huntsinger and Stellings Lee, the two Young Treasures visual art scholars for the 2011-2012 academic year. Ms. Huntsinger studies with Danny McLaughlin and Ms. Lee with Kathy Wynn Patrick. Both won scholarship funds from the Cultural Council to go toward private lessons.

The Cultural Council -- "official arts organization of Georgetown County" -- is an independent 501c3 non-profit organization.
Mission Statement: Promote the ARTS and enrich the cultural lives of the youth and adults of Georgetown County.
Purpose: Attract youth and adults to the ARTS through inspiring and enriching programs of music, visual art, literature and drama. Promote and collaborate with various partners to provide cultural events and activities.
Values: All programs are administered with impartiality and are balanced to include all forms of artistic expression.
