The Georgetown Performing Dance Arts Foundation is a local non-profit organization committed to promoting the performing dance arts in Georgetown County.  Under its umbrella is the Studio of Dance, LLC, located in downtown Georgetown on Front St. 

The Studio of Dance is a business educating youth and adults in the area on the dance arts, whether if its through classes, dance companies, or performances.  Classes are offered in Ballet, Tap, Floor Gymnastics, Jazz, Lyrical, and Pre-Pointe/ Pointe for youth.  Adult classes are offered in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.  A new component, Karate is offered for both youth and adults. 

These classes are offered for Fall and Summer Sessions.  The Fall Sessions follow the 40-week school year, while the Summer Sessions offer one and two-week intensive workshops.  During the summer hip-hop and cheerleading classes are also offered.

The Studio of Dance is committed to providing excellence in dance and/or gymnasitcs education in a well organized, family-friendly, nurturing and professional environment conducive to learning.

We encourage all fo our students to work hard, to strive for improvement, have self-discipline, and be respectful to others.  We offer a diverse program; students may dance either as a form of receration while developing grace poise or strive to achieve a high-level of technique and performing skills, which may lead to a professional career.
