Painting and drawing have always been a passion for Betsy Jones McDonald. Spare time as a child was spent with a sketchpad in hand. Betsy studied art at Columbus College (Columbus State University) in her home state of Georgia. She worked as a commercial artist painting signs and storefront windows. Betsy has painted many murals for homeowners, businesses and schools throughout her career.  After taking time away from the arts to pursue a career as a retail buyer, Betsy has returned to her first love, art.

Betsy's paintings are full of movement and color. She enjoys what she does and it shows. Betsy loves painting her surroundings in the beautiful Carolina low country where subject matter is never in short supply.
