The National Sculpture Society’s 76th Annual Awards Exhibition opened June 27 in the Rainey Sculpture Pavilion at Brookgreen Gardens . This juried show includes the work of 41 prominent sculptors from across the country, including 15 prize-winning works and will be on display through August 23. During the course of the exhibit, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite sculptures to win Brookgreen Gardens’ People’s Choice Award. Announcement of the winner is made during a celebration on August 22.The exhibition is free with regular garden admission.
The National Sculpture Society was the first organization of professional sculptors formed in the United States whose purpose is to "spread the knowledge of good sculpture". Brookgreen Gardens is a non-profit corporation and a National Historic Landmark located on U.S. 17 between Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island , South Carolina .
